The Tulip Festival...but with Daffodils!

Today we went to visit La Conner & enjoy the Tulip Festival up in the Skagit Valley...but the tulips haven't bloomed yet, so daffodils it was! The seas of yellow were truly beautiful!

Of course we took Flat Stanley!

We stopped by "Tulip Town". The kites they had blowing were amazing! The grandest of the all can be yours for just $2,000...wow, that is a serious kite!
We forgot our kite...so they let Adam borrow one to fly. Well, today we found out the big secret of kite flying that we didn't have at Gas Works last weekend...WIND!...Imagine that!
Adam, our master flier!
There were a few rows of tulips in bloom...Orange tulips are Ina Garten's ("The Barefoot Contessa") favorite flower...love her!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

The sweetest tulip of all...
