A Trip to Jetty Island

Today we went to Jetty Island in Everett...as part of our weekend up north hosted by the Hurley clan...what fun we had!

The mini ferry ride was a hit with the kids...

Pool Party!

We had a fun day at the pool celebrating Noah Smith's 1st birthday! We're mostly happy the warm sun came out...it was a close one!Kevin's infamous throw and spin move...Adam loves it!

A Trip to Vancouver...

Jenny, Carolyne, Adam, Ava & I headed north to Vancouver to visit our Claridge family. Thanks to Allison for opening her home to us! Thanks to Uncle Bill & Auntie Liz for playing with us! And of course, thanks to all the family for coming out and always being so fabulous! We had a great time!

Uncle Bill treated us to a hike at the Cleveland Dam on Grouse Mountain...the kids LOVED it! (Carolyne & Adam thought he looked like Poppy & Carolyne even said he smelled like Poppy...I'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing...ha!)

Ava insisted on walking about a third of the way...she did great!

Then off to Auntie Liz's and to the beach! I wish I got a better picture of her! She was having fun playing with the kids in the sand and being creative, while Jenny & I just sat and relaxed for a few minutes...ha!

Adam thought he was quite funny putting mud on his head...goofball!

Both Jenny & I adore our Auntie Liz's home & decor...I wanted to snap a shot of her shelves, as I have plans for my own home to copy her!...But I had to post this picture, as look who looked so sweet in the bottom right corner...ha!

Then all the family came for dinner...yum, yum! Mary Beth sure enjoyed Ava...

Another Kaloper Wedding!

Today was another fabulous Kaloper wedding...at Columbia Winery in Woodinville...Congrats!

Yesterday we saw "G-Force" in 3D...Adam took quite a liking to the glasses...looking cool...in a nerdy way...ha!

Tonight we headed to Olympia to see Lindsay & Mike...Adam had fun wearing Mike's boots & helmet... His favorite part...the helmet light!

Farm Camp!

Today we were off to see Aunt Annie, Cousin Delane & Cousin Shaye at their "Farm Camp". We went last year & Adam had too much fun, so we just had to join them again this year! I only told Adam a couple days ago we were going, as I knew he wouldn't stop asking about it...and sure enough, I'm glad I waited!

Adam loved holding the bunnies...look at that GREAT smile! (Oh, and if you haven't noticed in the last few posts...Adam got a summer buzz cut!) To say the least, the goats were his favorite! He was quite enamored with them! (His eyes are open...he is just looking down, as he says, "Cheese!" without actually smiling!)

And Ava loved the rocking horse! (She wanted nothing to do with riding the live horse!) Last year, Ava was only 3 months and busy nursing...this year she joined in on the real fun!

Thanks Annie, Delane & Shaye for having us again...we loved it!

Our Bookworm...

Ava seems to be our bookworm! I often find her quietly in her room (even in Adam's room) "reading" books!

A Visit from Cousin Ryan...

Today my cousin Ryan stopped by to see us on his drive up from California to Vancouver...what a treat! We picked up lunch & headed to Skansie Park...our favorite Gig Harbor photo shot! Thanks for coming to see us, Ryan!

A Great Day at Point Defiance Zoo...

Today we were off to Point Defiance Zoo...a true favorite of ours!

I asked the boys to strike a scary shark pose & this is what I got...ha!
The highlight of the trip...a Camel ride!

What fun the boys had together!

If you do it once, it becomes a must every time...so we now always end our trip to the zoo with a ride on the Carousel...well, a couple rides!

A Day at Narrows Park...

The Hurley Clan came down for a "Summer Weekend in Gig Harbor". We shared some of our local favorites with them...which of course meant going to Narrows Park. It was yet another fabulous sunny day in the "Gig"!
