Down to the tide pools we went...the kids & Dads were very busy with all the sea creatures to explore...
It was so sweet...George wanted to go, look, do whatever Adam did...so a pair they were!

Ava is quite content doing her own thing...and today was no exception! She was very busy making mud tracks, playing with the sand and just being Ava away from all of us!

After a stop at Hale's Brewery and saying good-bye to the Herrmann Family...we still had some energy to burn...SO being that we were so close to Fremont, we decided to stop by and visit the troll. Every night these days we read a story called..."Larry Gets Lost in Seattle"...about Pete & Larry (a boy & his dog) and their adventure of visiting Seattle for the day...the Fremont Troll is one of their stops, so we made it one of ours today...the kids sure liked that! (As we were walking away, Ava said..."Bye Giant"!)
Pete & Larry also make a stop by the statues of people in Fremont waiting for the bus...so, we did too!
At this point we were still very much enjoying our family day and weren't quite ready to drive home yet...and since we did have our kite with us...why not go to Gas Works Park to see if we could get it to fly?We were there for about an hour...we had SO much fun! Kev was so excited & proud he got the kite to fly, Adam loved flying his kite with his dad, Ava had too much fun stomping around in all the big water puddles, and I just LOVED taking it all in and watching my sweet family. A lot of smiles all around! And it was quite the gorgeous evening too!
