Guests...

We had a couple guests in our yard today...deer! A Mama & her baby! I came out into the kitchen to make breakfast, and I saw something run by in the backyard...I ran to grab my camera without alerting Adam (as I didn't want to show him, with the risk of him trying to go outside and chase after them!). This was the best shot I got through the window...if you look close, you'll see both of them. When I cracked the door to get a better shot, they both jetted. It definitely made me feel like I live in the wilderness...and as my dear sister would say..."You do!"

Our Ava's Growing Up Too Fast!

Ava has started holding her own bottle...as much as we are proud of her (little accomplishments are such big deals at this age!)...Kev & I both looked at each other with a little sadness...our baby girl is growing up too fast! Adam is always "Mr. Helper!"...

Ava's 6 Month Well Baby Visit

Ava had her 6 month Well Baby Doctor's visit today. She is quite well...yeah! She weighed in at 17 lbs. 8.5 oz. (80%) and measured to be 28 inches long (99%!)...which Gramma informed me, that was right where I was at 6 months...so, looks like we will have another six footer on the girl's end!

Ava got a whopping 6 shots today...but this photo was taken about 20 minutes prior to all her shots. Ava is a "sympathy crier"...she cries when she hears other babies crying (this has happened on several occasions!) & some other baby was screaming in the room next door, so Ava's heart felt for the baby & Ava couldn't stop crying herself! (I couldn't help myself but snap a picture...I always miss the "big lip" at the beginning!) As for when she did get her shots...she cried during the actual moment, but as soon as the nurse was done, so was Ava's crying...as Adam would say "Good girl, Ava!"

Sweet Auntie Shirley

Today we celebrated our dear Auntie Shirley's life...and in true Claridge fashion...we did it with all the family, with good food and with good spirits! Cheers to you, Auntie Shirley...I will miss your sweet smile and kind, gentle ways but will forever hold you dear to my heart. I love you!

Our last trip to visit Auntie Shirley...December 2007...and of course family dinner at Auntie Liz's home. Always a fun time with the Claridge family!
