A Day with the Cousins

Today we had a fun day at the Woodland Park Zoo with the cousins...This just made me laugh...I couldn't resist! (I guess Ashtyn wanted her space!)

A Great Day at a GREAT Park!

Yet again, Melissa has introduced us to another FABULOUS park...Grass Lawn Park in Redmond...WOW...we LOVED it! I can't say enough great things about it! And we can't wait to go back! We had too much fun...

Adam climbed to the top all by himself...he was sure proud of it!

It actually turned out to be a good thing it was a cloudy day...as it kept the crowds away! What fun we had celebrating Owen's 1st birthday...thanks Poort family! (And a special nod to the chef on his very tasty meatloaf sandwiches...maybe that's what made the park so great...too bad they won't be there next time!)

At the end of the year festival at preschool, kids got their face's painted...Adam was too busy running around & playing...but since that day has begged me to do it...SO...here we go! School's Out For Summer...

Today was Adam's last day of school! A great first year it was! And oh how Adam (& Ava too!) adored his teacher, Mrs. Roempke!

End of Year Celebration!

Today Adam's class had their end of the year celebration. They sang some songs for us... Ava watched...anticipating the day it is her turn to go to Preschool!

Mrs. Roempke read a little something about Adam & then presented him with a memory book of the year...so sweet! (In our end of the year conference, she called him her "Golden Child"...the reason teachers teach...he came in with very few "preschool skills" and he has learned and progressed so much! And most importantly he wants to learn and is excited about it! We are so proud of our Adam!)

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a Pirate's life for me! Today we headed to the downtown Gig for the annual Maritime Festival...pirate style! Adam saw the flyer the day before & wanted to dress the part...arrrrrrgh!

Adam ended his first soccer season...and he got a medal! He is SO proud of it...& we are SO proud of our Adam!
